Enmig de les protestes antiracistes més importants dels últims 50 anys als Estats Units, Price, també assegura en un altre missatge que el general va ser "un horrible esclavista". Però no s'atura aquí, "res del que podria haver fet en vida li podria fer merèixer una estàtua en el seu honor" i assegura que el memorial "és una vergonya" i sentència que seria justícia que el moviment antiracista la destruís".

Sterling Price was a disgusting, horrible slave owner. nothing he could have done in life could make him worthy of a statue in his honor. this statue is an embarrassment and seeing this symbol of hatred and racism destroyed would only be justice. tear it down. #BlackLivesMatter
