En medio de las protestas antirracistas más importantes de los últimos 50 años en Estados Unidos, Price, también asegura en otro mensaje que el general fue "un horrible esclavista". Pero no se detiene aquí, "nada de lo que podría haber hecho en vida le podría hacer merecer una estatua en su honor" y asegura que el memorial "es una vergüenza" y sentencia que sería justicia que el movimiento antirracista la destruyera".

Sterling Price was a disgusting, horrible slave owner. nothing he could have done in life could make him worthy of a statue in his honor. this statue is an embarrassment and seeing this symbol of hatred and racism destroyed would only be justice. tear it down. #BlackLivesMatter
