"There are millions of people who have voted, who want to decide. We have to talk about this." These are the words of Catalan president Carles Puigdemont in an interview with the TV3 current affairs show 30 minuts to be broadcast this Sunday night. In the programme the Catalan leader also asks why the Spanish Government would be interested in discussing a reform of the financing model for Catalonia, when the people have gone out onto the street and "stood up to judicial violence" to defend the result of the referendum.

The head of the Catalan executive has also revealed that he has not had contact with the Spanish Government and assures that the key aspect in the current situation is the question of self-determination. Meanwhile, the Spanish Government's Catalonia delegate, Enric Millo, appears on the programme asking why a referendum has to be the solution and suggests looking for a consensus in which both sides would have to compromise.

"In the end, a referendum is the syndrome of '50% plus one'. There are winners and losers", assures Millo, considering that this won't solve anything because "the conflict will still be there".
