There's just over two months to go until Spain's snap general election on 28th April and there remains intense uncertainty over what the result will be. According to a survey by newspaper ABC, currently governing PSOE will be the largest party, but fall over 50 seats short of an absolute majority. Both Podemos and PP would see notable losses. Cs, meanwhile, would gain seats, and far-right Vox would enter the Congress for the first time with 23 seats. This would leave both sides needing the support of pro-independence Catalan and Basque parties to form a government.

If these results prove accurate, between them PSOE, Podemos, ERCPDeCAT, EAJ and EH Bildu would have 177 deputies, one more than necessary for a majority. The right-wing trio of PP, Cs and Vox, meanwhile, would have 173 seats, not enough to take power.

PP would win 97 seats for a 23.2% vote share, down from 137 in the last general election. Podemos would see a more serious fall though, from 71 seats to only 29. Cs, meanwhile, would go from 32 deputies to 53 with a 15.7% vote share, although this is down on how they have been polling in recent months.
