Up to six Spanish National Police agents presented themselves this Thursday at the recording of a sketch for Spanish channel La Sexta's El Intermedio satirical program for which comedian Joaquín Reyes was dressed up as Catalan president Carles Puigdemont.

According to Vertele, from newspaper Eldiario.es, a resident of Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid), where the recording was taking place, had called the police saying that the president was in the town's Parque Europa, which features flora and famous buildings associated with different countries of the EU.

Within minutes, agents arrived at the park looking for Puigdemont, who faces an arrest warrant issued by Spain's Supreme Court, for which reason he is exiled in Belgium.

The agents, when they discovered it wasn't the real Puigdemont but a TV parody, left the park and filming could continue as normal. The sketch will be broadcast in El Intermedio's "Zanguangos" section on 26th February.
