Political party PDeCAT (liberal) has changed its leadership and has agreed to join the political movement of President Carles Puigdemont. Marta Pascal, first secretary, has resigned from party leadership.

The PDeCAT assembly has approved an amendment to create a commission that will lead the transition from this party to the Crida Nacional per la República of Carles Puigdemont.

The amendment calls on the party's supporters to join the Crida and has achieved unanimity, with only one abstention.

Pascal says she does not have the support of President Carles Puigdemont, because of her reluctance to build a new political movement.

The Catalan president, Quim Torra, says that there is no internal division in PDeCAT and urges the party to "join" the Crida Nacional per la República movement, led by Carles Puigdemont.
