Conditionally released. That is the situation of the 30-year-old man who masturbated on the back of of an 18-year-old woman during the civic celebration of the Barça Women's Champions League victory in Plaça Sant Jaume in Barcelona on Sunday afternoon. Before Barcelona Court number 22 this Tuesday the man arrested for the incident that occurred in the middle of the central city square during the FC Barcelona women's title celebrations. The judge, after hearing the accused's statement, released him with precautionary measures. These are, fundamentally, a ban on going within 1,000 metres of the victim, and the requirement to report to the court whenever required.

The Mossos d'Esquadra police say the investigation into the man for a crime of sexual assault is still open. The 30-year-old was arrested on Sunday afternoon for allegedly ejaculating on the young woman's back. The 18-year-old victim was with her mother and, realizing what had happened, alerted the officers who were present in Plaça Sant Jaume, and a member of the ARRO squad arrested him. The rest of the celebration of Barça's Champion's League final win ended without further serious incidents.

The young woman reported the events minutes afterwards

The woman, who reported the incident immediately afterwards, was celebrating the victory of the FC Barcelona women's team when, at a certain moment, she realized that she had something on her back. She turned around and saw an individual who had just masturbated and ejaculated on her. He took advantage of the dense crowd gathered there and had gone unnoticed until then. The young woman alerted her mother and they notified the Catalan police, who arrested him shortly afterwards.

The 18-year-old's complaint was filed shortly after. The victim spoke out on social media where she received almost unanimous support from users, who fully condemn the events. "Unfortunately I was the victim", she said, correcting another tweet which had claimed that the man had assaulted a minor. "I have reported it and I hope that justice will be done," she affirmed on Monday.
