"Football is a game of two halves." Never better said. After conceding two goals in the first half of the 2023 Womens' Champions League final to rival Wolfsburg, despite dominating possession, the FC Barcelona women's team rose to the occasion and, incredibly, turned around the result in a dramatic second half, to take away the great European trophy, 3-2. It was midfielder Patri Guijarro, with a double just after the start of the second half, who changed the colour of the game to blaugrana and then Fridolina Rolfö made the remuntada a reality with 20 minutes to go, erasing Barça's defeat in Turin a year ago from the minds of the players and fans. Their goals gave Barça the strength and courage to overcome the valient German team in a brilliant match to end up lifting the second women's Champions League in the history of FC Barcelona.
