The former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is to visit Barcelona next week to participate as a speaker in the central event of the 50th anniversary of CIDOB Barcelona Centre for International Affairs, an institution dedicated to the analysis of international relations. Clinton, who was US Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013 under president Barack Obama, will be the guest in the dialogue "A life in global politics", together with the director of CIDOB, Pol Morillas. The event will feature institutional speeches from Antoni Segura i Mas, president of the institution, and Julissa Reynoso, US ambassador to Spain and Andorra.

The dialogue in which Clinton will participate will be held on June 2nd at La Capella del MACBA at 5:30pm, near the CIDOB headquarters in the city's central Raval district. Clinton is one of the most prominent figures in American politics, in addition to being the first woman to be nominated for the US presidency by one of the two main parties, winning the nomination of the Democratic Party in 2016. Currently, Clinton is at the head of the organization Onward Together.
