The Catalan president, Quim Torra, met with his Flemish counterpart and the speaker of the Parliament of Flanders in Belgium today. Spain had vetoed the Catalan police from guarding him during the trip. Torra and his predecessor Puigdemont gave a talk in a hotel after they were blocked from doing so at the European Parliament. Meanwhile, unionist party Ciutadans said it will not look for a deal with the ruling PSOE party after Spain’s April 28 election. The Socialists also reject any deal what they call the "three rights": Ciutadans, PP and far-right Vox.
