Jordi Alba has assured in New Jersey that his teammate Neymar Jr "continues being a Barcelona player until he says otherwise", adding to the list of comments from the Barça dressing room about the future of the Brazilian.

The continuity of Neymar at Barça remains an unknown factor, since the apparent interest from París Saint-Germain to pay the termination clause on the Brazilian's contract (222 million euros), and which has fuelled the silence of the player and of his father.

In the dressing room, the message seems unequivocal, and something Alba also picked up on when he appeared in front of the media before training in New Jersey.

"(Neymar) is a player of Barcelona until he says otherwise. 'Ney' is very calm. It is true that a lot is being spoken about this subject, but in the dressing room there is a lot of calmness. He is very happy here," the player pointed out during a rainy day in the northeast of the United States.

The midfielder Gerard Piqué has already shared a photograph of himself with Neymar on social media, in which he wrote, "he stays", trying to put an end to the doubts about his teammate's future.

Alba, questioned as to whether Piqué's message was confirmed, said: "You'll have to ask Geri (Piqué) about these declarations. I have not spoken with Ney on this subject. Many things come out, like so many other things. On this photo you'll have to ask him."

"I do not know what they have spoken about. I do not think it is a joke," added the Barça player about Piqué's message.

On the other hand, Jordi Alba wishes that Neymar will be "many more years" with Barça, because in his opinion "we are talking about one of the best players of the world, and it is normal that all this gets resolved".

The Barça players have been training at the facilities of the Red Bull Arena Training Centre, and where all have participated, except for goalkeeper Adrià Ortolà, who has been suffering from stomach discomfort, the club reported.

After the weekend match against Juventus, Ernesto Valverde's team will play against Manchester United on Wednesday at Fedexfield in Washington.
