The Spanish football league's Classic match is approaching and Barça have just officially revealed who will be the protagonists of the shirt they will wear to face Real Madrid next Saturday, October 28th, at the Lluís Companys stadium: The Rolling Stones. As part of the FC Barcelona sponsorship deal with Spotify, which includes the possibility of substituting the logo of the music platform on shirts with that of the artists of the moment, the Barça team will front up to their eternal rival wearing the iconic Stones logo known as 'Hot Lips'. On social media the club has shared a series of images and videos featuring Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ron Wood, wearing the Barcelona shirt.

Barça women will do the same, and will don the famous lips-and-tongue design a week later, on Sunday, November 5th, in their home match against Sevilla at the Lluís Companys stadium.

The Rolling Stones, protagonists of the classic

The blaugrana club's shirt featuring the iconic rock'n'roll logo will be on sale on the Barça website from October 23rd, in two special versions. On the one hand, there will be the FC Barcelona x The Rolling Stones Limited Edition, of which there will be 1899 units, while there will be another even more exclusive, the FC Barcelona x The Rolling Stones Signed Limited Edition, of which there will only be 22 units with the signatures of the starting Barça players from the two matches, the men's Classic and the women's Liga F clash. Apart from the match shirts, Barça has released a special clothing merchandising collection with the Rolling Stones logos - hoodies, hats and scarfs, which will also go on sale on the 23rd. Spotify will also create the Matchday Playlist for Classic Day, which will naturally include classics by the Stones.

The Stones' prominence in the Classic coincides with the release on Friday October 20th of their new album, Hackney Diamonds, the first new studio collection since 2005. A long-awaited return, 18 years after their last big hit.

Rosalía and Drake are also 'culers'

The luscious lips and tongue of the Rolling Stones will be the third musical logo to grace the blaugrana shirts. The first artist that the Barça players promoted on their chests was Drake. On that occasion, it was also for a Madrid-Barça match, specifically that of October 16th, 2022, and the logo representing the Canadian rapper was a curious owl.

Next up was the Motomami logo by Rosalía, Catalonia's most international artist. Acquiring your very own Rosalía-Barça shirt signed by the home team would have set you back €1,999.99. The same shirt, without the players' signatures, retails for €399.99.
