A group of ardent pro-Spanish nationalists has actively attempted to disrupt an event in solidarity with Catalonia's political prisoners and exiled political leaders in the Catalan city of Terrassa. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon in the city's Parc del Catalans, where the pro-independence Catalan National Assembly (ANC) of Terrassa had organized a series of events. A group of unionists suddenly appeared and sought to make an impact.

The unionists carried Spanish flags and a banner saying "In Spain there are no political prisoners, don't be fooled". They chanted "Long live Spain", while those at the ANC event responded with chants of "Freedom" .

As a tweet noted, one of the unionist demonstrators warning "not to be fooled" was carrying a flag for the imaginary country of Tabàrnia, while there was also a Spanish featuring Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Members of the municipal police of this city located in the Barcelona metropolitan area arrived and attempted to calm down those who were getting overexcited.
