The decree officially calling the 1st October independence referendum signed yesterday by the whole Catalan government includes the referendum voting slip. In Catalan, Spanish and Aranese, the official languages of Catalonia, it asks the previously announced question: "Do you want Catalonia to be an independent state in the form of a republic?" under the title "Catalonia Self-determination Referendum 2017".
Catalans will have two choices, 'yes' and 'no', unlike in the 2014 "consultation" which was formulated as two questions, the first asking if Catalonia should be a state and the second, if the voter had checked 'yes' to the first, asking if that state should be independent. Another change with respect to the earlier vote is the formatting: this time the paper is portrait, for 9th November 2014 it was landscape.
