Members of the pro-independence CUP party found their Barcelona headquarters had been graffitied with a Spanish nationalist slogan - "Long live Spain" - when they arrived to open the offices on Tuesday. The party tweeted a photo of the graffiti, saying: "This is how we found our headquarters this morning. They won't make us back down. We still have #NoFear".

The headquarters of the left-wing CUP, or Popular Unity Candidature, has previously received attacks on other occasions, such as on 9th October last year, when attackers attempted to set fire to the door and to block the entry.
