The Diada del Sí ("Day of the Yes [vote]"), the protest organised by the ANC (Catalan National Assembly) for the Catalan National Day (Diada) on 11th September, already has 150,000 people registered to take part. This is much higher than the number of people who had completed the registration form by this time last year. Nonetheless, the sign-up rate is only expected to accelerate from now on.

As published by El Nacional, this year the protest will take place in Barcelona, at the intersection of passeig de Gràcia and carrer d'Aragó and there are already a thousand coaches reserved. The president of the ANC, Jordi Sànchez, has said that the number of people registered shows that this year's Diada will be "a historical day", just weeks before the 1st October independence referendum.

Translation: The excited dream of a new country, no one will change it for us. Now for a great Diada. Let's overflow passeig de Gràcia! And with a smile, the revolution...

Now, coinciding with the formal beginning of the political course after the break forced by the attacks, the ANC has started in full swing the Yes campaign, which is expected to last until 1st October.
