Spain's Civil Guard has been seizing ballot boxes with surprising violence against people working and voting in polling stations. Their actions were denounced by Catalan Justice minister, Carles Mundó, via Twitter.

The images show the Spanish gendarmerie ripping the ballot boxes out of the hands of members of the public in the polling station in question, who respond with chants and songs, ending "Votarem! Votarem!" (We will vote! We will vote!).
