Defence counsel representing the president of Òmnium Cultural, Jordi Cuixart, is challenging video entered by prosecution as evidence.

The video in question purports to show the "protest in front of the [Catalan] economy ministry on 20th September [2017]". The second, and longest, clip, however, from 0:06 to 0:52, is from a different protest in Barcelona that day. Specifically, it shows the Spanish police leaving the headquarters of the pro-independence party CUP. That was a separate protest that Cuixart was not directly involved in. 

As a result, lawyer Marina Roig has asked for the video to be dismissed as evidence. The court, headed by Manuel Marchena, will have the final say.
