The number of people officially registered as unemployed in Catalonia has dropped over this July. At the end of the month there were 1,068 fewer names on the register than at the end of June, leaving a total of 369,124 out of work.

According to figures published today by the Catalan labour, migrations and social security department, there are now 18,189 fewer people unemployed than in July 2017, a 4.7% drop.

In Spain as a whole, the number of people registered unemployed was 27,141 fewer in July than the month before, leaving 3.13 million out of work, the lowest figure since December 2008.
