In Spain, a lot of children still get their Christmas presents on 6th January, Epiphany or Three Kings' Day. Today, Carles Puigdemont received confirmation that the European Parliament will recognise him, along with Toni Comín and Oriol Junqueras, as an MEP in its next sitting on 13th January, with effect backdated to 2nd July last year.
On Twitter, the exiled Catalan president wrote: "Epiphany of a political-judicial collapse. The Rectification." Today, with Comín, he collected his definitive credentials from the Parliament.

The Parliament's decision follows a ruling in December from the Court of Justice of the European Union which led a Belgian judge earlier this month to suspend the extradition process against him.
