Catalan public station TV3 broadcast its latest episode of long-running current affairs show 30 minuts. This week, the program focused on the upcoming independence referendum under the title Setge al referèndum ("Siege of the referedum").

The program came only four days after the Civil Guard searched a number of Catalan government buildings, including some departments, which set off a number of protests around Barcelona.

Among them, the largest was in front of the Economy department, which is where an officer of the Mossos d'Esquadra, the Catalan police, couldn't hold back his tears whilst those gathered sang Els segadors, the Catalan anthem.

On noticing the emotional agent, a protester goes over and gives him a hug. The officer accepts the gesture, but his colleagues immediately make him fall back.

On social media, some users have made the Mossos' emotion their own with expressions like "impressive", "immense" or "we cried with him".
