Francis Franco, grandson of the dictator, was the family member chosen to fly in the helicopter with Franco's remains today, as they were moved to their new resting place. Before heading to the Valle de los Caídos, however, the younger Franco wanted to make his feelings clear:

Franco had decided to hang a flag on the balcony of his house. Namely, the flag that is euphemistically labelled "pre-constitutional" in Spain, that is the Franco era flag. Unfortunately for the people entrusted with the task of hanging it up, their first attempt went badly as they put it the wrong way up, with the eagle facing downwards.
