Read in Catalan

The snowstorm that left hundreds of people stranded on Spanish highways, especially the AP-6 in Segovia, has led to a massive upsurge in the number of website visits for the Spanish traffic authority, the DGT. An unexpected consequence for some internet users has been to discover that on the DGT's maps, it appears that Catalonia is already independent. It has the same background colour as other areas outside the Spanish state, such as Portugal and France. The same is also true of the Basque Country.

Translation: I love it that on the DGT's website, Catalonia already appears with the same colour as France or Portugal.

The explanation of the difference of colour can be found in the fact that in Catalonia, competency for management of traffic has been devolved to the Catalan Traffic Service, and a similar transfer of powers has occurred in the Basque Country. But even so, the map configuration went down well with some Twitter users.
