"Where is Europe?" This is what demonstrators were asking today, in Catalan, in the heart of the EU. Catalans took to the streets of Brussels this morning in force with tens of thousands rallying in the EU capital, exceeding turnout expectations. People crossed half of Europe by coach, car and plane in order to give a wake-up call to Brussels. They want the EU to take action against the measures Spain has enacted against the independence process. It’s been one of the largest non-Belgian demonstrations held in Brussels in recent years.
