Catalan president Quim Torra will travel to the US this weekend to give a talk at the Martin Luther King Institute, Stanford University, and visit Silicon Valley. The visit comes months after the institute's head claimed remarks he made on Catalonia had been distorted by Spain's press. Meanwhile, the Spanish government presented its budget for 2019, but it needs the pro-independence parties' support to pass it. The cabinet is confident they will get it.
