Spanish authorities will never let Carles Puigdemont be reinstated as Catalan president. This is what his deposed vice-president, Oriol Junqueras, said today from prison. Writing in response to a question, the ERC leader said that the top priority for pro-independence parties should be to form a government. But, before that, a president needs to be sworn in. Talks continued today between the parties in favor of a Catalan state, as the Spanish government made it clear that direct rule of the country will continue, until a new executive is formed. Rajoy’s cabinet also announced investments in Barcelona and Girona's airports. Meanwhile, we also learned that Catalonia might be a good place to invest in in the near future.
