Catalonia has its Parliament up and running again, after the Spanish government dissolved it three months ago. The opening session of the new term was held today and Roger Torrent has been appointed as the new speaker. The pro-independence parties kept their majority on the chamber’s Board, despite some deputies being absent. They are in prison or in Brussels, risking jail if they return. Their colleagues, however, didn’t forget them. This was not to everybody’s liking. Here at Catalan News we’ll give you all the details about today’s session, and we’ll introduce you to Roger Torrent.
