Six members of the Board of the Catalan Parliament testified in the Spanish Supreme Court today, including the Parliament's speaker, Carme Forcadell. They are being accused of the same charges as the Catalan cabinet, eight of whom have been in jail for a week now. Specifically, rebellion, sedition and misappropriation of public funds. And the Spanish prosecutor has decided to ask for the same measure: preventive detention without bail. In the meantime, president Puigdemont, sacked by Mariano Rajoy’s cabinet, is in Belgium to defend the legitimacy of his government.
