Where is Catalan president Carles Puigdemont? Several media reports put him in Brussels, Belgium, where this weekend the Secretary of State for Migration hinted that he could apply for political asylum. Today the Spanish Attorney General filled charged against him and his whole cabinet for rebellion, sedition, and misuse of public funds. The members of the Board of the Catalan Parliament that allowed the vote on independence have also been charged. The charge of rebellion alone carries a prison sentence of up to 30 years... and two pro-independence leaders are already in prison, without bail.
