The president of the German Bundesrat (effectively the country's upper legislative chamber) and mayor of Berlin, Michael Müller (SPD) has visited the Spanish Senate this Thursday, taking the opportunity to call for dialogue with Catalonia. "Catalonia's search for its path is an occasion for dialogue", he said, as highlighted by the Bundesrat itself in its tweet on the visit.

Müller met with his Spanish counterpart, Senate president Pío García-Escudero (PP). They spoke on the topics of economic migrants, refugees and Catalonia.
He has also got planned meetings during his trip to Spain with king Felipe VI and territorial policy minister Meritxell Batet.
