Barcelona City Council will file a police complaint against the man behind a racist incident on a Ryanair flight last Friday. The announcement was made by deputy mayor Jaume Asens in a tweet. He also said they're looking for witnesses and the person who recorded the video.

The incident happened on a flight from Barcelona to London last week. A man, sitting in a window seat, started to insult the woman who had the seat next to him. Cabin crew then asked the woman in question, in her 70s and originally from Jamaica, to move, despite the stream of abuse she was subjected to. The decision to not move the man, or even remove him from the plane, has sparked a wave of criticism online.

Barcelona city hall has provided an email address, ond@bcn.cat, for anyone with any relevant information.
