The workers of Eulen at Barcelona's El Prat airport have decided this Wednesday to toughen their stance in the conflict they have with the company's management, and have announced their intention to strike indefinitely, 24 hours a day, from mid-August.

By a large majority, more than 92% of the votes, the Eulen staff opted to intensify their protests, a decision that could aggravate the long queues already witnessed in recent days at the security controls of the airport.

Until now, the security guards of the company Eulen had convened a partial strike every Friday, Sunday and Monday starting this 4th August at different time slots: from 5.30am to 6.30am, from 10.30am to 11.30am, from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, and from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

The 100% indefinite strike for the full day will start on 14th or 15th August — it will be defined during the next few days, depending on the legal deadlines required for the notification of a strike — and in the meantime the workers will maintain the partial strike of four hours on Fridays, Sundays and Mondays.
