The Puerto Rican actor Osvaldo Ríos and Shakira had a romance almost 20 years ago. It was a short affair (8 months), but the press covered it avidly because of the age difference between them (16 years).
Despite the fact that they were only together briefly, Ríos has fond memories of the Colombian singer and has posted a video on his Instagram account where they appear together on a Brazilian TV show.
“A beautiful, special memory with my beloved, admired SHAKIRA when we were on tour all over Brazil. Memories of a great artist and even better human being,” Ríos wrote in the same post.
In these pictures, which date from 1997, you can see a dark-haired Shakira with a very different look than today. In fact, one of the artist’s most famous early songs, Moscas en la casa, was dedicated to this Puerto Rican.
However, the reality today is very different than 20 years ago. Now a consummate international star, Shakira is enjoying a few days of vacation with Gerard Piqué in order to recharge her batteries for the tour of her new record, which now has an official date for Barcelona.
