The King and Queen are on an official trip to the United Kingdom, housed in Buckingham Palace amidst many signs of esteem from the British Royal Family. And last night came one of the most anxiously-awaited moments: the gala dinner held in honour of Philip VI and Queen Letizia.

At the ceremony, all eyes were focused on the outfit chosen by the Queen, which was on par with the outfit worn by the Duchess of Cambridge: an anticipated style duel.

Queen Letícia once again wore a red Felipe Varela gown, a safe bet. It is an elegant off-the-shoulders gown with a mermaid cut and a tulle train with embroidered with crystal beading. She matched it with one of the most important pieces of Crown jewellery: the fleur-de-lis tiara, worn with matching diamond earrings and bracelet.

In turn, the Duchess of Cambridge chose a romantic gown from Marchesa in pale pink with a V-neck. It had a flounced skirt and bell sleeves, and the entire body had transparencies and flower-inspired embroideries. Her jewellery included an impressive diamond and ruby necklace which Queen Elizabeth lent her, along with the tiara known as the Cambridge Lover’s Knot

Both gowns were captivating. But who won this royal style duel?
