Reports of a shooting in Barcelona this Tuesday evening have been confirmed to be a false alarm.
The newspaper Ara had reported that three people were injured in a shooting on carrer Rades, in Barcelona's Poble Sec neighbourhood and that a man has barricaded himself on the flat roof of a building.
The paper said the news had "circulated through police chats", but that there was in the end no firearms incident, nor anyone wounded.
