A member of the Argentinian Chamber of Deputies, Juan Carlos Giordano of the Frente de Izquierda (Workers' Left Front) has announced that today he will present a bill in favour of Argentina officially recognising Catalonia as an independent country. The motion also calls the deputies to reject the intervention in Catalonia of the Spanish prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, and the king, Felipe VI.
